Frequently Asked Questions
Why should I choose you?
What area do you cover?
Mostly in and around eastern bays (central east) Auckland. Other areas considered, but higher travel fees will apply.
I’m safe. Guest safety is paramount to me, so I will only use the best professional face paints, cosmetic glitter and products. I maintain careful and structured hygiene protocols and ensure a clean and tidy kit at all times. I also don’t publicly post or share any photos of the children I paint without parental permission.
I’m professional. I approach all aspects of my business thoroughly from start to finish - prompt response for booking inquiries, arriving early to carefully set up at bookings, excellent communicating with guests and parents on the job and for smaller private events – I send through photos of the painted faces of your guests for a memory of your event.
I’m quick. As a professional face painter, I might make it look easy, but in reality I’ve spent thousands of hours honing skills to ensure a speedy process for little ones who don’t like to sit or wait for long.
I’m sincere. I love what I do and I love putting smiles on children's (and parents’ faces).

What are your fees?
Each booking is bespoke as it depending on a range of factors, so by providing me with detailed information for your event, I can suggest a booking length and quote you accurately. A travel fee may apply dependent upon location.
What do I need to provide at my event?
A table and two regular sized chairs (I can bring my own table if needed). I need to set up in a well-lit, indoor area, or if outside, I need shelter from sun, wind and rain, eg. waterproof marquee/gazebo with walls. An indoor location is always preferred, due to our inclement Auckland weather.
If more guests arrive at the party, can you paint them too?
When I quote, I allocate the appropriate booking length for the number of guests in relation to the type event and service requested. If more guests arrive than are booked for, extended booking time can be mutually arranged if I’m able to stay on.
What will you paint?
I have a large range of designs in my repertoire. To each event, I bring an option-board of popular design options for guests to choose from, as this helps to keep the wait and choosing times at a minimum. For private parties, if the birthday child would like a particular themed design - please let me know in the booking stage and I’ll do my best to accommodate.
For corporate events and activations - happy to discuss your needs.
* I don't paint occult or horror images (zombies, witches, gore etc), or anything that could be deemed offensive or culturally inappropriate.
How do I remove face paint and glitter tattoos?
Face paints can be easily removed with soapy water rubbed into the design and then rinsed off with water. If any colour remains, repeat the washing, or massage with moisturizer and wash off. If glitter has been used, please wipe it aways from the eyes. Do not use baby wipes to remove face paint and please make sure all paint is removed before bed.
Glitter tattoos fade over a couple of days, but can be removed by rubbing some oil (eg coconut or vegetable oil) into the design for a couple of minutes until the design begins to lift, then wiping it off gently. This may need to be repeated.
Will you donate your services for my charity event?
I do donate my time and skills to a number of events throughout the year that are close to my heart. However, as a professional face painter, there are a range of expenses I need to cover to provide the high-quality service that defines my work, hence donating my skills and services for promotion or exposure is not sustainable for my small business. I am open to offer a discount for charities and happy to tailor my packages to suits your needs and budget. The best win-win scenario is for you to find a sponsor to cover the cost of my service. This can often be a local business or organization that is looking to support community events and be seen to partner with them.
UV reactive face paints look bright under regular light, but 'glow' when under UV lighting (a room does need to be darkened to get the full effect). They are perfect for disco parties and all ages. I am also able to provide UV lighting suitable for up to a 7m x 7m space, for the duration of my booking, at extra cost. I offer specific tailored UV designs to maximum the effect. A power outlet in the room is required for this lighting set-up.
