What started as a simple way to help out at church, very quickly turned into a huge passion.
I was immediately captivated with how face painting captured the pure magic of childhood - the boundless imagination and wide smiles. And the colours just made me happy! After hundreds of hours of dedicated study and practice, I eventually made the decision to turn that passion into a professional career, and I haven’t looked back since.

Face Painting by Ana has now grown to encompass a premier team of exceptional artists, as we meet the high demand for large-scale public events and simultaneous private and corporate bookings across Auckland. Whilst face painting is the focus of our work, we also offer glitter tattoos and twisted balloons. I continue to paint at local parties and events whilst also managing the business, and my background as a radiographer and also as a stay-at-home mum means I’m naturally wired for health and safety which is infused into our ethos.

My mission for Face Painting by Ana is to provide an all encompassing service that’s beyond just great art - but fulfills my desire to look after people. This extends from excellent communication with the host, to the use of safe, professional products, to skilled and quick work, and to beautiful interactions with the littlest of people. That we are known to wrap up everything in kindness and care.
